The Latest on Expansion, Trade Deadline Happenings, GM on the hot seat?

We’re hearing a bid has been secured, and the league will indeed be expanding to 27 teams for 2024-2025 season.
The league has had meetings with investors in Springfield, Norte Dame, and of course a group out of Arizona all within the last few days.
Bettman is keeping this one close to the vest. Expect an announcement in the coming days
Trade Deadline
With an Expansion Draft on horizon, big decisions loom for playoff teams.
Teams will only be able to protect a limited number of players, and must expose a minimum number of players with experience.

Looking at potential options available in an expansion draft, and you have to wonder if some of these players will be traded for something at MAR 1st deadline rather than lose them for nothing to the 27th team.
A cursory glance shows no way for Hartford to keep Kempe with the seasons Denisenko/Dorofeyev are having

OEL unhappy in Tallahassee?
After being benched for 2 consecutive weeks, our sources have indicated LD Oliver Ekman-Larsson TWD 87 (32) 7M UFA 2024 is unhappy with the current state of affairs in Tallahassee.
With 7 Gs on the backend, an expiring contract, and loads of experience. It’s likely a playoff bound team with some cap will come knocking

A GM of an Eastern Conference team might be entering their final trade deadline. Hearing top levels aren’t too pleased with the results thus far, and might be looking for new blood.
Could the Expansion 27th team jump on this opportunity to secure their own GM? 27 will be looking for recent experience. I’d imagine this guy will be on a Jet immediately to interview for this position.
