The NHL is proud to announce the 27th franchise… Welcome to the NHL the Arizona Jets!!
“We had talks with numerous investment groups, in the end a guarantee of playing in a “stadium” with a 3k+ capacity just felt like a dream come true. A real opportunity for our storied league. We’d like to thank the groups in Norte Dame, and Springfield.” The Arizona Jets will join the league for 2024-2025 Season (S4) They will compete in the Pacific Division. At this time we’re hearing a team from the Pacific will be relocating to the North Division. The most likely candidate being Kelowna Red Deer Rebels GM Arizona has been given the ok to start negotiating for the expansion draft, which is set to take place at the conclusion of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Nothing will be made official, but deals will be discussed. With that being said, Arizona Jets have hired Traktor Chelyabinsk GM !!! “ Traktor Chelyabinsk GM will bring extensive knowledge of the league, and players. And has good relationships with existing franchises to be able to make the most of our Expansion Draft opportunities. We look forward to him shaping our franchise for the foreseeable future and beyond “ ARI OG Huge hire for the new franchise. This offseason will prove interesting. Hopefully his first hire isn’t he buddy McGuire More news as the Expansion Draft gets closer use :ari :

I'll go to the North only if I get a 1st round pick.

So what's happening with Cleveland then? 🤔🤨 I don't get it... This sounds like relocation, not expansion.

Is Cleveland already filled? Hopefully we didn't do this without a new team in GM ready to take on a new team?

Is Cleveland already filled? Hopefully we didn't do this without a new team in GM ready to take on a new team? It really doesn’t matter. We were full, I had to turn 2 people away last season. Some have expressed interest in taking CLE, but we’ll see what happens. It’s a weird point in the season to take a non playoff team so I get it. I needed to get this over to 22 eventually anyway, and ECHL is 27 teams now. It’s not like I can just pick and choose. Having 1 open team isn’t the worst thing. The expansion draft was something people expressed an interest in going through before this ERA started (probably because of the recent SEA addition), I thought it would be fun to try. Better now than later in when it’s even less likely to find a taker for an open team

I try not to overwhelm you guys with excess stuff, but I feel like this was talked about quite a bit leading up to the announcement I'm not opposed to it, I just didn't realize Crusader was abandoning Cleveland to do it. lol I just figured we had a new GM coming in. 🤷 But I also don't understand why Crusader doesn't just take a city that would fit into a division that would be missing a team. 🤔🤨 The Pacific is full, and fine as it is. Why move Kelowna to the Eastern conference? It doesn't make any sense unless he's relocating to an Eastern-ish city. 🤷

I wanted to give the opportunity to a veteran GM that I knew wouldn’t bail during or right after the process. People can name their teams. The league fits the divisions together the best we can. I’m not gonna force someone to change their team name, but Divisional alignments may vary season to season to make things work. DET and CBJ played in the Western Conference for while. So , or :tse: going to North is just gonna have to work. And honestly, if I was one of those 3 teams I’d be begging to let me in the North We also don’t know where the new GM might move . Nothing is set in stone until we get things a little closer to the season.

Ok, fine I'll take a 2nd round pick and go to the North. I don’t want to force you to move to the North if you really don’t want to. I only mentioned you originally because Kelowna was most East of the 3 CAN teams in the Pacific Still need to see where CLE ends up, and there might be 1 other team that opens. Let’s see how the offseason shakes out. Having said that, if there really isn’t another way around it. And no one wants to move Divisions. Maybe we can offer a 3rd Round pick as compensation. Our drafts usually have 10-12 guys left over, and will be receiving a 3rd as a bonus for being the expansion team to help fill out their prospects. So it would be the last pick in the draft
