You can’t JUST rise in rating, you can drop in rating too. There aren’t many. But it is possible Then list it as such... On the list... 🤷 I know I'd be pissed if I saw that he'd be (76,77,78) then got him at a paltry 74. That's junk. Can go both ways though, thats the beauty of the draft. Look at Ciernak, was listed as 72,73,74 and ended up 79 due to WJC

I should also say, that’s only possible on guys that PLAYED WJC. You don’t want to play that way? You don’t have to. Just pick a guy that didn’t play and they will get the normal RNG from that range. You want to scout, or roll the dice, take a guy who played.
It’s not a complicated system. Pretty easy to kinda figure out if you pay attention a little. Sometimes there are surprises. Just trying to make the draft more interesting and engaging.
All ratings have been shared with another admin about a month in advance too. So it’s all been setup already

I think what we will do for going forward, starting with 2024. Is kinda hide the ratings until the draft gets closer, and WJC is completed. Then we will put a decent range that will include their actual rating. Ranges won’t be known until after WJC You want to get an exact idea, scout it. Something like that. Still a work in progress a little

Still a work in progress a little I didn't think that at all... lol It's just that not everyone goes through the WJC with a fine tooth comb either, and I do realize it was an admin that made the selection... However, if a player is listed as a 76,77,78, one would think the lowest or highest they could be is within what's posted. 🤷

So I think it's pretty straightforward

So I think it's pretty straightforward I didn't notice it last draft, or I would've said something then too. lol But I did notice on this one. 🤷 lol It's fine for the admins & globals to sit there and say "it's pretty straightforward" when you guys are probably discussing it a lot... But casual members & new members would be making the same inquiry I did here because it's not as straightforward as you think for folks that aren't discussing it a lot. Does that make sense?

But for new GMs who have not been around here before, yeah that would apply, so I think Miiko's idea for the next draft sounds more ideal

The teams will have players from upcoming drafts playing as well. Which could result in an unknown boost being applied after they are drafted.
Scouting the box scores of these tournaments is strongly encouraged.
There will also be upcoming FAs showcasing their skills in this tournament. So this will be chance to see how they perform

I do think it’s valid Seattle Spitfires GM. Especially for new people. I’ll get an adjustment done for the next go around. There’s not much I can do about this one, other than tell you guys again it’s possible for them to be lower than that range. But I wouldn’t expect the posted range for next season to be as small as it is now. So there will be a range, but it will be decently sized. And a balance is gonna have to be found because, if we use this draft as an example, if after WJC, Ciernik comes out with a range of (72,73,74,75,76,77,78,79), I’m not so sure that’s to hard to figure out lol . The idea is to have some risers, some falls, some steals, and some busts. Can’t really have a steal or bust necessarily without it being an unknown quality. I’ll try to get a system worked out with the admins Thanks for the feedback. We should make a different thread to discuss this further if you guys want. still up

So trying to deflect that doesn't make my point any less fact. 🤷 So is the fact that I should be staff, in any capacity, and I'm not, because I'm a bit erratic, have a temper sometimes and I don't put up with a lot of BS. I get that... But when I see something as BS, you're damn skippy I'm going to point out. I do agree though... Miiko's solution/suggestion is better than the current way of doing it. 👍

Gotta go with; 7. RD Niklas Talvikunnas - DFD - 6’4 203lbs (R) (FIN) - HPK (Liiga) (75,76,77,78)
If any of you crazy kids who PM'ed me wanted this guy, I'm still open to discussing things but we're expecting big things out of big TAL.
Anyways I don't even know who's up next because you all keep relocating and changing your names.
