Originally there was.. but got some pushback because guys wanted to pick their guys earlier so we changed it There shouldn’t have been a change, in my personal opinion. Prospect hoarding is what potentially kills leagues, with certain teams (and specific people) only having players under 21, and selling their prospects off for an ultra-premium. Alternatively, they keep them and they make dynasties that can’t be touched in five years because of it. I can suspend my disbelief on team names, locations and such, but if the league had a fantasy draft, you can’t say that any sane and sound GM would select an 19 year old prospect with their first pick over established stars/superstars. It just seems ridiculous. |

I’d really like to keep these discussions in a different place, just for clarity in the draft sequence and stuff Yeah we originally proposed 2 different drafts, as a way to help mitigate the size of this event. Trust me, “hoarding” which I don’t think is happening here, isn’t gonna help anyone. A bunch of GMs tried it last era and it didn’t work out very well. I’m completely fine with people picking whoever they want. Let’s see how everyone’s strategies work out. They’ll probably be on the block soon enough knowing these things, and just because Power or Askarov or whoever, went that early, doesn’t change his trade value. I still wouldn’t trade my first picks for them. It will all work out because the way upgrades work. You weren’t at Rockem. But if you play a guy correctly, good things can happen no matter how low they’re rated. Ask CHI (  ) CGY (  ) MTL (  ) and me lol |
