CELEBRINI plays quick and fast. Explosive out of the blocks. Threat off the rush with and without the puck on his stick. Outstanding 200 foot vision. Finds open lanes and exposes opponents on his way to the net. Rips pucks from the weak side flank on the PP. Brings more than just offense. His attention to detail, and high end compete, in all three zones is impressive. Future Franchise Player at the NHL level. Unanimous 1st overall selection without any hesitation.

CATTON has an elite element that is easy to identify while being gifted offensively. Similar to other high end players, he is aggressive directing pucks on net from all angles. He attacks zone entries, off the rush, with solid pace. More importantly, he has fantastic vision and spatial awareness. When he sees a lane, he drives the play to the net. Not likely to PK at the pro level though has chance to be F1 scorer and contribute on the PP. A true competitive difference maker.

KIVIHARJU manages play in front of him with impressive poise and comfort, directing and influencing play all the way down the ice. Can advance play under pressure inside his own zone, effortlessly side-stepping forecheckers to headman pucks. Always walks the line beautifully, with a knack for snapping shots through to the net. His frame and physicality may be an issue at the pro level, though his dominance on the offensive side of the puck will likely shadow that. Overall a highly skilled puck handler who can make the toughest passes seem routine.

EISERMAN is a pure goal scorer. He has a 'shoot first' approach to his game. His offensive upside is elite, but his attention to defensive detail is becoming more of a concern than it should be. He's cutting corners, hoping pucks get turned over so he can go on offense, instead of being patient and defending his net when required. His elite offensive element wins out when he's contributing average detail in his own zone. Will never be shy to score, even in the toughest moments.

#5 - RD Adam Jiricek TWD 6'1 179LBS (R) CZE

JIRICEK has excellent hockey sense. He identifies his responsibilities, in all three zones, very well. What's missing is a bit more jump and aggressiveness. He fronts the play defensively, but he has room to attack his check and win more pucks. Same goes for the offensive zone. He distributes fine, but when he gets a chance to direct a puck on net he needs to 'plan ahead' and release the play to the net quicker - harder - and more accurately. Once those key elements are established, being a top pair reliable defenseman is all but guaranteed.

HELENIUS is sturdy & strong. He has the strength to work plays off the wall in the offensive zone. He's a solid skater who attacks off the rush and has excellent vision via zone entries. Like many motion players, his element is play driving and offense, but he's also reliable enough to take key defensive zone face-offs and kill penalties. His 'routes' defending players in his zone need attention to detail at times.

SILAYEV is a mountain of a man. He is comfortable being used in all situations. Although his offense has dropped off recently, he continues to contribute in a variety of roles. His long reach, and huge frame, will assist him with his defending on the smaller ice surface in North America. What impresses most is his smooth skating stride is, and how agile he is walking the offensive blue line to distribute pucks or direct them on goal from range.

LEVSHUNOV is a big, strong, mobile, offensively productive right-shot defenseman, which are highly coveted by all NHL organizations. He is a solid skater with room to improve his small area escapes, agility and walking the offensive blue line. Though he never seems to cut corners in any zone, always leans on his opponents, and plays with a presence. He could end up finding a home as a top pairing NHL 'D' in time.

DEMIDOV brings a combination of size, speed, skill and will. He can be dangerous off the rush and also battles to extend plays from below the goal line and along the wall. He tracks back the full 200ft. While offense is his upside, his overall compete also stands out. Coaches trust these kinds of players in a variety of roles. He is the type of player that can spill over the boards in all situations.

HEMMING has a high-end (or close) skill; a dangerous wrister on the power play; and quick, one-touch release and catch-and-release motion. When the puck lands on his stick and he looks to attack and keeps his feet moving, he can create looks and beat defenders and goalies. After some excellent showings against junior kids, he scored the 2nd most goals in the tournament, something that’s hard to come by for a kid playing a limited role.

CHROMIAK is very good offensively and can skate quite well, though needs to improve his ability to box out and take way passing and shooting lanes. His mobility is noticeable on both sides of the puck, enabling a swift transition and smooth exits from his own zone. Slovakia struggles and lack of depth this year have forced him to defend without many opportunities to develop his entire game. That being said, he has proved to be one of the most skilled defenders in this draft.

BRANDSEGG-NYGÅRD has a chance to become the first Norwegian born first-round NHL pick. He's a 6'1 burner with an excellent shot. His catch and release, is very quick. He shoots the puck in stride off the rush, and has shown he can beat goalies from the top of the circles with an accurate snap shot. He's more than just offense though as he is committed defensively and recognizes his responsibilities before going on offense. His two-way game allows him to plays fast and has the hockey sense to be used in a variety of roles.

IGINLA gets off the wall to the middle quickly, and can also drift into high-danger areas, and when paired with his lightning-quick snapshot, it makes him a dangerous goal scorer. Though his skating isn’t elite, he’s got quickness, stability and mobility which helps him be a solid transition player, though they’re more useful off the cycle, where he is just as effective solving problems and playing a possession game. Can get underneath players to dislodge pucks and then use a power stride to get it to the net front. Can also beat goalies from distance.

CHERNYSHOV is a big, powerful winger who skates well and has a lot of offensive creativity. Can out-muscle and out-speed his opponents, he has shown some glimpses of an off-puck game that helps him support his teammates’ routes. He back tracks, finds his check, and sticks to his assignments with ease. He beats defenders routinely with his one-on-one plays, sees the ice well, and can crash the net. He has the ability to control play at even strength due to his variety of tools.
