The order is correct, the first two playoff rounds don't count towards the draft order, only the last two. The regular season standings still have a lot of influence until Conference Finals. 

Heres the rules I refer to: 

Picks 1-11

-Consists of 11 teams that missed the Playoffs
-Teams Draft highest to lowest from Least Points to Most Points
-Bottom 11 teams in Points for the season put into weighted lottery
-Winner cannot move up more than 4 positions if they win the lottery
-Teams cannot move down more than one position

Picks 12-27

- Clubs eliminated first 2 rounds ranked highest to lowest from Least Points to Most Points
- Division winners ranked highest to lowest from Least Points to Most Points
- Clubs eliminated in conference finals ranked highest to lowest from Least Points to Most Points

If THIS post gets a bunch of likes, meaning people are good with it, I could get behind 4-5 getting 2 silvers. I think that’s probably reasonable for a top 5 pick. 

I think 1 trait will work for the rest of the 11. There’s still gonna opportunities for traits and stuff. Everyone who was nominated for awards and is eligible will get a SILVER, winner GOLD, and there’s still WJC awards each season.

If THIS post gets a bunch of likes, meaning people are good with it, I could get behind 4-5 getting 2 silvers. I think that’s probably reasonable for a top 5 pick. 

I think 1 trait will work for the rest of the 11. There’s still gonna opportunities for traits and stuff. Everyone who was nominated for awards and is eligible will get a SILVER, winner GOLD, and there’s still WJC awards each season.

going too far with this will just make the offseasons even longer and almost impossible to keep track of all of this stuff. All of this stuff would need to kept track of in great detail from one season to the next also

I agree going too far is a bad idea. Aside from the custom part, I’m trying to offset our Draft Process just a tad with this. I think the WJC aspect with Draft has worked well. However with this, at least even if you whiff on your pick you’ll still get a guy with a trait and “prestige” so to speak with being that pick. So I don’t want to extend this too much at all

No one needs to keep track if they don’t want to. The main X-Factor Trait thread will continually be updated with player who have traits. So if you want to know who’s got what, just check that thread out. You’re absolutely free to keep if you’d like, but I’ll keep that up to date as much as possible.


This won’t change anything time wise, because nothing is changing. We never AUTO people on first day anyway. If there’s anyone who doesn’t want to pick traits, or you just don’t care, I can AUTO that for you too.

Slovan Stags GM I wouldnt mind seeing a 3 player silver trait lottery for any player outside 11, kinda like how HLS had a OA boost Lottery to 2nd rounders. Doesn't get too out of hand and rewards some GMs with sleeper picks.
