Kinda related, but this is just FYI. I don’t think there’s been an instance this ERA, but if a player gets bought out that retention does NOT go away. I think we’ve always kinda done that in the past. But that’s not how it actually works

Okay no problem, we'll just have the regular 0.25M cap payment for stamkos. I was trying to be flexible in the future in case i needed another cap payment since this puts me at the max 3.

My understanding of the 3 retention limit is, that’s the number of contracts YOU can retain on at one time. Like Stamkos wouldn’t count.

That counts towards limit
