S5 Training Camps (Euro Lotto / 2nd Round Lotto)
With players arriving at training camps, and the 2025-2026 Season upon us here are some early surprises at check ins
Players Returning from Europe / CHL / NCAA
After a poor showing at Team Russia camp, Poltapov found himself sitting in the press box for the entirety of last year’s WJC tournament. Prokhor had essentially been written off by those in the know. Fueled by his desire to prove himself, he totaled 42 assists in 59 games playing for CSKA Moscow in the KHL, before losing in a game 7 thriller to Kunlun Red Star. Poltapov will attempt to prove the doubters wrong as training camps play out this fall.
Mr Irrelevant, Danielson was taken as an UR Overager with the last pick by
in 2024 (compensation pick awarded to expansion). Considered to be a long shot project, early results seem to be paying dividends as Danielson put up strong numbers with Brandon of the WHL. Danielson will try and take another big step this year and make his mark with a Canada West squad looking to defend Gold

As the dust has settled a little on the 2025 Draft, a couple recently drafted players had strong showings at their respective prospect camps. Laksonen and Svec look like they could be steals of the 2nd Round
