Introducing World Cup for 2027!
Figured I’d go ahead and get this out there now so we can hit the ground running this upcoming offseason
World Cup 2027 will replace the WJC component for the UPCOMING season (S7), but will take place RIGHT BEFORE S7 instead of the normal JAN 1st slot
Each Team will be run by a 2 GM tandem ideally
Send applications to Brampton Thunder GM and Slovan Stags GM
Include your Assistant / Co GM in message.
In your submission put the team you guys are applying to run, your combined WJC Medal Counts (as guest GMs) , and your combined Ws from last regular season. These will be used to set you apart from other GMs if applying for same team.
Please put 2nd and 3rd team options
GMs will be chosen within the next week or so, so don’t wait on your applications
World Cup Rosters won’t be submitted until AFTER the 2027 Draft and Free Agency but you can start getting an idea now

Once GMs are selected, they will have the task of putting together a team of the best of best from that nation(s). No OA or salary limits, no nominations. GM/Co GM jobs to go through and “scout” who they want, and will submit their proposed rosters to Brampton Thunder GM and Slovan Stags GM for review. Mostly to make sure guys aren’t being doubled up, and on right team
When choosing players for your team, there will be no requirements other than the player must be from that country. Or in the case of Canada West/East must be from Canada and be representing the Western/Eastern Conference in OUR league. Team North America will have option of all left over CAN/USA players, as well as first rights to any NA born player 22 and Under
Medal Round Appearance will gain you and Co GM extra lotto balls in the reboot
Gold Medal - 4 extra lotto balls
Silver Medal - 3 extra lotto balls
Bronze - 2 extra lotto balls
Bronze Loss - 1 extra ball
Top Players in the World Cup Tournament will receive an additional + ? before the start of Season 7, as well as be eligible for additional traits. No limitations on age
