S2 Training Camp Surprises (Euro/2nd RD Lotto)

October is almost here, training camps are well underway. Here’s a couple of surprises/standouts so far, and couple prospects who did well earlier in the summer at Development Camps 





Misyul - Not invited to represent BLR / WOR East at the 2024 WJC games in KAZ, Misyul made huge strides while playing for Lokomotive in the KHL. Playing 1st pairing, he was routinely counted upon in a Defensive role along side their top D (Rushan Rafikov KHL) and playing top PK pairing as well. Difficult decisions ahead for Vancouver. Soderstrom is probably sweating a little bit

Musty - Another player not invited to rep their country, Musty went back to Sudbury in the OHL and had a dominate season. He’s put in the training in the offseason, and looks to break in on the 4th line for Riga this upcoming season. At the least, expect him to play a huge role for Team USA this year in at the WJC in Sweden.

Couple other camp surprises - Toronto is pretty happy with their late pick Bear. And over-ager Yevseyev made the trek from Russia to play at KGN’s player development camp. Both these players might now be on the radar for this winter.
