Last season, Samsoskevich found himself as a late cut to the Cup winning roster in Stockholm. Assigned to Davos of the National League, Samoskevich led the league in Points, Assists, and Hits. Putting on a clinic and leading Davos to their 32nd National League title. Stockholm lost a few players over the offseason to due to cap restraints, and Mackie could contribute in a much bigger role this season as they try to defend their title.
Dinamo’s patience with their prospects appears to pay off again. Ty Smith growth this past year will make defensive pairings less set in stone in Riga. He returns from the KHL a more complete player, with still some untapped offensive potential. He will look to cash in during a contract year, with perhaps his last chance to make an impression.
