PLAYER DEVELOPMENT - Upgrades / Downgrades 


Each season there will be Performance Upgrades / Downgrades and Manual Upgrades 



NHL PERFORMANCE UPGRADES / DOWNGRADES 


These will happen at the end of each NHL season. 

Only players aged 18-30 will be eligible to receive an upgrade based on performance. 

These will be dynamic, decided upon by the simmer. With a max possible being +5. 18-19 year olds will receive a min +1 if they have +30 GPs in NHL 



Only players aged 28 + will be eligible for downgrades. 

These will be dynamic, decided upon by the simmer. With a max possible -3 


Players aged 34+ will receive an AUTO -2 

- 90+ OAs will need to perform 2 ratings less than their current OA to receive a downgrade

- Top 10 in Gs, A, PTs will be given benefit of doubt on downgrades


Player Retirements

Retirements will happen at the end of each season.

They will be decided by Player Rep based on several factors (age/production/OA/role on team)



AHL Taxi Squad

Each team will be required to maintain an AHL Taxi Squad of a min of 5 players (2 F, 2 D, 1 G) max 10 players.

These players will not be eligible for upgrades unless they play 30+ NHL games, or play in the World Jr Tournament  OR 

Players that are rated under 70, and remain on your Taxi squad all year. Meaning no WJC, no 30 NHL games. Will be given an auto boost according to this structure

Ages - 18-23

65 and under - +5
66-67 - +4
68-69 - +3
70-71 - +2



World Jrs / World Championships

Players aged 18-23 (24 for goalies) will be eligible to be nominated for the World Jrs / World Championship. This is replacing the AHL quick sim.

These players will be eligible for performance upgrades based on their performance in the tournament.

Upgrades will be dynamic, and done by the simmer. With a max + 5 
 


Each team can nominate up to 9 players to the 11 World Juniors / World Championship teams (USA, Canada East / West , Russia, Sweden, Finland, Czech, Slovakia, North America, World Team West (SUI,DEN,GER etc) , World Team East (KAZ, UKR, LAT, BLR etc) 


World Jrs / World Championship will take place Jan 1st in game 

The teams will have players from upcoming drafts playing as well. Which could result in an unknown boost being applied after they are drafted.

Scouting the Leaders, Stats , and MVPs of these tournaments is strongly encouraged. 

There will also be upcoming FAs showcasing their skills in this tournament. So this will be chance to see how they perform 




JUNIORS / EUROPE


-PLAYERS (18-25) have the option of staying in CHL/ NCAA or being assigned to Europe.

-PLAYERS ASSIGNED TO JRs / EUROPE will be INELIGIBLE to return to the NHL /AHL Taxi squad until the START of the Next Season. They may however be used for playoffs 


-Players WILL NOT carry a CAP HIT if SENT TO CHL / NCAA / Europe

-Players listed under your Juniors / Europe section of your roster will be given an AUTO Upgrade Each Offseason RNG 1-3 

-Players listed under your Jrs / Europe section can still be nominated for World Jrs, but if they make the team will NOT receive the RNG boost in addition to the performance upgrade

-Max 5 players assingned to Jrs / Europe

-There will be Junior / Europe bonus lottery for an additional + at the end of the season. 2 players (league wide) will be chosen at random to receive +6 and +4 respectively


There will also be a 2nd RD Lotto each offseason after the current Draft is completed. 2 players from the 2nd RD will be chose at random to receive +6 and +4 respectively

MANUAL UPGRADES (MPU/APU) 


Each team will receive +6 MPU/APU every offseason to use on NHL/AHL players 


MPU 

MPU is for unlimited for players age 22+, they must have 30 GPs in NHL previous season. (Ages are based on current age)

OA 94 - 99 + 6 = +1
OA 91 - 93 + 5 = +1
OA 88 - 90 +4 = +1
OA 85 - 87 +3 = +1
OA 83 - 84 +2 = +1
OA 79 - 82 +1 = +1
OA < 79 +1 = +2

Players aged 19 may go up 1 overall using MPU if they play 40+ NHL games
Players aged 20-21 may go up 1 overall using MPU if they play 65+ NHL games


APU 


APU is for players that played in the AHL, Must have played less than 30 GPs in NHL previous season.



Overall Limits by Age

19-21 = 82
22-23 = 81
24+ = 80 overall max

Maximum Spending by Age

19-20 year olds = max +2 point
21-22 year olds = max +3 points
23+ = no max

APU costs

OA 80 +2 = +1 (does not apply to 19/20 year olds (junior players), counts as +1 per overall)
OA 76 - 79 + 1 = +1
OA 73 - 75 + 1 = + 2
OA 68 - 72 + 1 = + 3
OA < 67 + 1 = + 4
