Toronto did shit that trade Foligno looked like a piece of my shit in the series against the habs. I know that's not the deal. But think about it. Getting player retained doesn't mean anything. Why is this such a big deal? It is a small different if every team want to make a trade with double retention, there is no problem! I did some trades with Riga where the contract was retained 2 times. Why is it important. This isn't even the NHL it's a sim. It really only makes a difference at the trade deadline, if you need/want to bolster your roster or if you're under the cap floor and need to get above it. |

Can I suggest we drop this finally and move on. Who cares anymore. it is a SIM league, not anything worth getting this worked up over. The last thing I saw someone get this upset with something was when I told my wife to schedule a night of love making and I was done in 4.26 seconds and half of that was cleaning up the love mess. yes another one of these things that it is just a sim league why is everybody getting worked up over this. If it wasn't worth getting worked up over I would have quit along time ago. Also this trade is crap and doesn't belong in this. I know we can make so many instances that this or that happened. But this is our sim league and as long as I am part or it (atleast for now) I will always fight against this crap that bends corners so GM's can get an advantage here or there. I am willing to do trades like this but as we all know that isn't going to happen again lol. When this isn't worth getting worked up over I will be out of in a second!!!!!!!! |

Everything in life seems to be way too important, so why not have something that is fun. And, I have seen and done a lot worse trades in my time on these sims. Congrats on your grandson! |

This will look weird, but this sim league makes me grow up. When I started watching hockey, I really changed to better. I used to be a stressful perosn who was never enjoying anything. Now I am more relax and I am way more joyful because I finnaly have a HUGE passion. I don't and never had NHL games on PS. I have no play station or Xbox or whatever, and to find things like hockey sim leagues for free was a dream. |

Suggestion for next season: Playoff format should be changed to top 3 in each division, with 2 conference wildcards, like real life NHL. I think this would bring a bit more balance and competitiveness to playoff competition. It seems a little unfair that if one division in a conference is stronger than the other one, that the teams in the stronger division are in a disadvantage to make the playoffs. If the 5th seed in one division has more points than the 4th place in the weaker division, they would miss the playoffs in the current system, which doesn't make sense to me, the advantage to the weaker division teams is simply because of their location/geography. Burnaby Billionaires GM I’ve mentioned this idea to a couple people. I was kinda worried about some teams getting shafted, or maybe the playoff format getting stale with the same matchups. I don’t think it actually would’ve changed anything last season, but this year seems to be a little different I’m down to have the conversation, but things you guys need to be aware of - There is in season growth that I cannot control. This results in some players getting better over the course of a season. In order to achieve NHL style playoffs, I’d have to take the 8 from each Conf at the end of the season and create a NEW playoff mode. Totally fine doing this, BUT those in season growths will be gone, or different. Could cause a team to perform differently in the playoffs Along those same lines, injuries won’t carry over (fixable though) Now with the in season growth, that DRAMATICALLY slows as we go along. It usually only effects non created players. By S4 at Rockem there were like 2 guys left still getting in season growth. As guys get their performance boosts here, it usually eclipses where they would’ve been. So maybe this is a S5 implementation if there is support

If a player is having a good year, and has some in-game growth for that season, I think it should carry over to playoffs. I'm good with the playoff format. Gotta beat everyone to win the ship regardless. If you're 5th in your division, you probably shouldn't feel slighted because there were 4 better teams than you all season long.
I get that the divisions aren't 'seeded' so they may be lopsided, but the majority of our games seem to be inter division anyways, so taking from each division might actually make more sense.

It’s just not really feasible at this point right now. But it is set to EA default rosters. And I’m more than willing to answer people PMs about who on their team has what. Just be patient with me. I think I’d be decent at getting back to everybody This is strictly a way to get a couple of our development players up there as well. So the Bedard and Wrights have a chance to actually be a Mackinnon or something. |
